Overview

Based in Raising Cane’s Plano, Texas Restaurant Support Office (DRSO), the Senior Manager, Crew Relations will develop and lead the Crew Relations Support Center and will serve as the lead and primary human resources generalist for Raising Cane’s RSO support functions and for the Plano site.  Reporting to the Vice President, Crew Relations, this role will be a true generalist and in addition to running the Crew Relations Support Center, will focus on organization development, program and policy development, compensation/job evaluation consultation with a sharp focus on maintaining the Work Hard, Have Fun Culture

Responsibilities

Crew Relations Support Center / Contact Center

  • Manage the creation and on-going leadership of the Crew Relations Support Center
  • Manage the intake, tracking and resolution of all companywide Crewmember issues while ensuring consistency, fairness and legal compliance in alignment with Raising Cane’s Culture
  • Manage people related compliance and will manage response to unemployment and other compliance related issues in partnership with legal and risk where applicable.
  • Central record keeping and management of Crewmember files

Restaurant Support Office Functional Organization Support

  • Will serve as the primary Crew Resources contact and human resources business partner for all RSO (Restaurant Support Office) based Crewmembers
  • Support will include (but not limited to) Crew Relations, compensation, job description and evaluation, organization consultation, succession planning, recruitment and limited training as needed.
  • Will work closely with RSO leaders to ensure the RSO culture closely mirrors the Restaurant Culture where possible

Program, Policy and Process Development, Implementation and Evolution

  • Will have primary ownership of developing and evolving RSO Crewmember Policies and Procedures under the direction of the VP of Crew Relations
  • Will collaborate closely with other RSO support groups(especially Crew Resources team-Recruiting, Total Rewards, Systems) to continuously improve policies, procedures, processes and systems
  • Will work closely with the Communications team to ensure that RSO Crewmembers are sufficiently informed when new programs, policies and processes are introduced or when changes are made to existing programs policies and procedures.

Compensation and Job Evaluation Consultation

  • Will support RSO leaders by serving as their primary contact for compensation related matters
  • Will assist managers with the development of Job Task Analysis and Job Descriptions for new and existing roles.
  • Will liaise with Total Rewards regarding promotions, adjustments and annual increase cycles
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive human resources management experience in large to mid-size companies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all the disciplines of human resources with direct experience in employee relations, compensation, performance management and recruitment
  • Working knowledge of employment law including FMLA, EEO, ADA, FLSA, etc. required 
  • HR experience with multi-site/multi-state restaurant, retail or service business highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and provide resolution quickly and efficiently 
  • Strong employee relations management skills with a proven track record of maintaining a positive work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze HR issues, provide information/direction, effectively express ideas, advice and solutions both verbally and in writing 
  • Effective project management skills and prior experience managing and successfully completing complex projects 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) 
  • Proficiency utilizing HR technology and systems – Workday highly desired
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Organization Development, Human Resources or other related field preferred.
