Construction Quality Control Manager - Full-time / Part-time

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Manager to work for an established mechanical contractor in Jacksonville, NC.

This individual will be responsible for quality of work to be in compliance with drawing specifications. oversees mechanical tests and identifies re-work items. Conducts meetings with subcontractors to review quality control expectations.

Essential Job Functions:
- Verifies all completed work on construction site is in compliance with drawing specifications
- Conducts preparatory job construction meeting with subcontractors. Addresses labor, equipment and materials needed for upcoming work. Identify potential production problems and review contract specifications
- Inspects and examines the startup of a job and establishes quality of work being constructed
- Communicates with subs about incorrect work installed. Informs subs about incorrect work
- Constructs daily contractor quality control report documenting three phases of quality control including preparatory initial and follow up
- Reviews submittals and verifies equipment received at job site matches with equipment on submittals
- Verify all testing done on completed work
- Identify items that need to be reworked
- inspect all rework items
- Files and keeps track of testing log
- Contractor Quality Control reports and safety inspection checklist
- Performs all quality control testing and oversees subs tests
- Approves and signs off on all inspections

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Control Management
- Experience working for Mechanical contractor in plumbing and piping projects
- Accountability
- Detail Oriented
- Safety awareness
- Working under pressure
- Patience
- HS graduate or GED
- Microsoft word
- Working knowledge of all trades
