Claims Associate - Full-time / Part-time

The Claims Associate, working under the direction of the Claims Associate Supervisor, is responsible for set-up, investigation and management of assigned workers' compensation and P&C claim files that meet pre-set guidelines.

> Provides a high level of client service to both external clients as well as interfacing
with other departments and staff.
> Follows best practices, ensuring compliance with Company standards and policies, strictly adhering to industry, state and federal regulations.
> Evaluates and determines compensability of a medical only workers' compensation claims, taking recorded statements when needed.
> Monitors and maintains long-term workers' compensation claims as appropriate.
> Evaluates and handles P&C claims for general liability medical payments, auto
physical damage, salvage and student accident.
> Investigates assigned claims and maintains accurate documentation to properly evaluate claims. Contacts, interviews and gathers investigative materials as needed.
> Evaluates and monitors both workers' compensation and P&C claims for
subrogation to ensure proper lien recovery.
> Keeps the Claims Associate Supervisor informed of all activity outside pre-set
guidelines.
> Works collectively with all staff to promote a positive work environment.
> Conducts all business in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
> Performs other duties as assigned.
