A Collector and Account Representative will be responsible for collection activities such as contacting family members, Personal Representatives and Attorneys to gather estate information and negotiate payment arrangements on outstanding debt.
Individuals in this role will maintain professionalism, high customer service and empathetic focus to our collection approach. This is a SOFT collection process that will abide by the letter of the law for PROBATE collections.
Typical Outbound call, when person answers. You are not liable for these debts, John Doe has passed away and we are looking to recover the amount of funds left on his credit card. Are you able to help settle this debt?
Follow established policies, procedures, and training guidelines while making outbound calls to collect on deceased debt
Meet daily collection goals and productivity standards
Maintain queue of accounts with regular review, phone calls and miscellaneous follow-up work
Conduct fact-finding conversations with individuals to locate estate information and identify potential money sources
Establish payment arrangements with a sense of urgency and firm deadlines
Skip-trace accounts according to established practices provided in training
Assist in special projects as requested

6+ months of recent experience in a Customer Service Call Center or professional setting for Credit or Collections
