A successful Oracle Programmer Analyst will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree with preferred major in Business or Information Technology
  • 3+ years of Oracle Development Experience.
  • Possess a highly motivated can-do-attitude.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Agile or modified Agile experience.

The Oracle Programmer Analyst is a member of a highly-motivated group responsible for partnering with multiple IT and business teams to evaluate and understand complex business problems. This role will be responsible to develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data and information.  Will be responsible to coordinate changes to databases, test and implement the changes applying knowledge of database management.   Create and test scripts and rotate within group to manage and represent software change requests, coordinate dependencies and peer reviews and release day activities.  Coordinate with and review work of off-shore resources.  May plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases. 

 

A Programmer Analyst will possess the following competencies:

  • 3+ years of Oracle development experience
  • Experience analyzing business requirements to create effective applications
  • Experience using source code control
  • Develop complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages on Oracle support current and future strategic business objectives
  • Performance tuning and investigating issues with current PL/SQL code
  • Adhere to database best practices
  • Working knowledge of Hadoop, Mongo and emerging DB solutions
  • Perform data analysis
  • Continually seek on-going education and development to maintain domain expertise
  • Ensure accurate data capture
  • Ensure data security and compliance
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, product managers and team members and ensure the technical design meets the business needs.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work with autonomy and as a scrum delivery team member.
  • Proven track record building strong relationships.
