Job Summary:
The Retirement Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and compliance for the Staffmark, Advantage Resourcing Group, EMS retirement plans, non-qualified executive deferred comp plan, and the HCE savings plan. This role is directly charged with ensuring timely retirement deposits and compliance with all federal laws. Will reconcile reporting, review and resolve exceptions, administer EDI files, manage employee change requests, facilitate the annual testing and audit process with external vendors and auditors, as well as any audits or investigations by outside entities. The role will also manage all retirement plan documents in coordination with ERISA counsel and the Benefits Manager. This role requires a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, customer focus, and accuracy in all duties.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:
1. Assist plan participants with questions including by phone and in writing.
2. Process retirement enrollments, changes, loans, hardships, benefit calculations, and QDRO's.
3. Coordination of EMS new client or conversion and deconversion projects, enrollment meetings, project management and document submission.
4. Project management of EDI, implementation and integration projects, including testing and error resolution.
5. Performs reviews of plan documents to ensure compliance, raising issues to the Benefits Manager when necessary.
6. Revises and reissues employee and plan communication in a timely manner, such as new hire and open enrollment materials, SAR, SPD, SMM, fee disclosure, joinders and other ERISA documents that require distribution.
7. Coordination and submission of materials related to the annual 401(k) plan audit and all plan non-discrimination testing.
8. Maintains relationship with external auditor, investment advisor, retirement plan administrators and ERISA contacts, creating a positive working relationship. Escalates vendor concerns for resolution.
9. Responsible for 401(k) deduction, loan and quarterly match process, including ACH requests.
10. Responsible for data management, match process and ACH process for the HCE Savings Plan.
11. Responsible for annual enrollment, data management and day-to-day administration of the Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation program.


12. Produces reports requested by management for review of plan metrics.
13. Produces statistical and census data for vendors and internal teams as requested.
14. Maintains current knowledge of ERISA and other related IRS and DOL regulations.
15. Contributes to the development of or improvement of established procedures, process documentation, and procedural checklists required for the administration and communication of retirement plans.
16. Maintains records related to investment committee meetings and fiduciary updates.
17. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

1. Understand and support the Vision and Values of Staffmark.


2. Bachelor?s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

3. RPA, CEBS, QPFC/CPC and/or Series 7 General Securities Representative certification preferred.

4. 3-5 years previous experience working with retirement plans. Multi-site location experience preferred.

5. Ability to learn and effectively use new technology, proactively seeking out learning opportunities of software systems and databases.


6. Strong analytical skills and a mathematical aptitude for computation.

7. Prior PeopleSoft or HRIS experience preferred.

8. Knowledge of government regulations for multiple types of retirement plans including deferred compensation, executive, Roth, and Safe Harbor plans. Experience with governmental filings.

20. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, proficiency in Word and Outlook.





Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

1. The ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) with periodic evening and weekend work.

2. The ability to frequently use a computer, telephone, and copier/scanner/fax machine.

3. The ability to spend a majority of each work day sitting indoors.

4. The ability to, on occasion, stand, walk, bend, and lift, and travel for business.
