Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An Experienced A Level Diesel Technician/Mechanic is needed to perform maintenance work on a Fleet of Alternative Fuel, Diesel and/or Gasoline Trucks for our client in Scottdale, PA.
Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Job Description:
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on Alternative Fuel, Diesel and/or Gasoline Trucks.
- Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision.
- Complete most repairs and parts replacements.
- Accurately complete written record of work performed.
- Communicate with Drivers regarding “Vehicle Condition Reports" and make appropriate repairs.
- Maintain a clean work and shop area as directed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Primary Duties:
- Preventative Maintenance
- Oil changes
- Air/hydraulic brakes
- Suspensions
- Transmissions
- General Maintenance
Qualified Candidates For Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Will Have The Following Education/Experience:
- One of the following is required: A High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of heavy equipment experience OR 6 years of related truck or heavy equipment maintenance experience is required.
- A valid Class A or B CDL is required.
- Mechanical or Trade School Certificates preferred.
- ASE Certificates preferred.
- Welding and/or Fabrication Skills preferred.
- Must provide a basic set of tools.
- Must possess a valid clear drivers license.
- Trade school, mechanical course, or equivalent highly desired.
Working Conditions:
Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
