An Experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic is needed to perform maintenance work on a Fleet of Extensive Diesel Engine Medium Duty Trucks and Equipment for our client in Cortlandt Manor, NY.

Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Job Description:

• Computer diagnosis

• Drivability diagnosis

• Engine and transmission overhaul

• Rebuild automatic and manual transmissions and perform rear end set

• Tear down and rebuild engines on diesel and gas engine trucks

• Preventative maintenance

• The ideal candidate will live within 40 miles of Cortlandt

Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Primary Duties:

• Preventative Maintenance

• Oil changes

• Air/hydraulic brakes

• Suspensions

• Transmissions

• General maintenance

Qualified Candidates For The Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Will Have The Following Education/Experience:

• 3 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and/or repair.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Must provide your own tools.

• Must possess a valid clear driver’s license.

• Trade school, mechanical course, or equivalent highly desired.

• State Inspector License Required.

• ASE certification and CDL License (B) preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions:

Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
