We have an immediate opening for a Assistant Manager.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

Assists in managing the operations of a Stevi B’s and periodically assumes responsibility for restaurant operations in the absence of other management. Participates in creating and maintaining an “Employer of Choice” environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Assists management in operating the restaurant in a manner that provides consistent day-to-day operations and guest satisfaction, in compliance with the Stevi B’s System.
  • Ensures the quality and service of all food and drink items meet operational standards.
  • Monitors and makes appropriate adjustments to staffing levels during shifts.
  • Performs opening and closing duties to standards.
  • Monitors inventory levels in regards to portion control.
  • Maintain food cost control on shift.
  • Immediately responds to guest requests in a respectful manner. Reports guest complaints to immediate supervisor and assists in resolving such complaints.
  • Reports for schedule shift, presents a professional appearance and wears appropriate uniform.
  • Participates in management training and career development programs.
  • Assists management in orientation and training of crew members.
  • Directs subordinate employees in the performance of routine job duties.
  • Adheres to and monitors employee compliance with the restaurant employee handbook, policies and practices.
  • Promotes an environment that is free of discrimination, harassment and inappropriate conduct and immediately reports issues to senior management including the franchise owner(s).
  • Takes appropriate action to address routine employee issues and policy violations and immediately reports all employee issues, complaints and policy violations to immediate supervisor.
  • Complies with all federal, state and local wage and hour laws and labor and employment laws.
  • Completes assigned paperwork and administrative duties timely and accurately. Assists in maintaining files, records and all necessary documentation.
  • Completes weekly inventory as needed.
  • Follows bill posting procedures (transmittal).
  • Complies with cash handling policies and banking procedures.
  • Supports ongoing marketing programs.
  • Complies with the restaurant mystery shop program.
  • Complies with Stevi B’s food safety program. Takes immediate corrective action when necessary and reports all issues to immediate supervisor.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by complying with all safety and security procedures.
  • Immediately documents specifics of all guest or employee accidents and incidents and reports them appropriately.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months entry level restaurant management experience (QSR preferred) or one year entry level retail management experience is required.
  • Proven experience running shifts without supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires considerable bending, stooping, lifting, and stretching.
  • Requires the ability to work within the confined area of the restaurant and working with a sense of urgency under significant time constraints.
  • Requires long periods of standing and the ability to lift, push, or pull a maximum of 50 lb with or without assistance.
  • Requires frequent immersing of hands in water to wash and rinse food and small wares.
  • Requires ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
