Caregiver - Full-time / Part-time

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Caregiver.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Wage: $9.00-11.00

Listed below are some of the tasks a Comfort Keeper may provide. 

Personal Care Services: Bathing/Hygiene Services (Shower in the shower, bed bath, sponge bath, shaving, nail filing, combing hair, dressing, deoderant, lotion, painting nails, and doing make-up etc.

Light Housekeeping: Dusting, vacuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms including tubs, toilettes, sinks and mirriors, washing dishes, checking expiration dates on foods, wiping out refrigerators, laundry, changing bed linens etc. 

Transportation/Running Errands/Dr.Appointments:  (All applicantas must have their own vehicle that is insured.) We can transport clients in our vehicle or if they have a vehicle we may transport them in their vehicle. Situations will vary.  

Companionship: Companionship is a big part of a Comfort Keepers Job! We are ALWAYS providing companionship to our clients. Alot of the time seniors may not have family near by to visit them on a daily basis, or their families are very busy working and taking care of their own families, and dont have the time to stop in and visit with mom/dad like they would like to.

Requiremets for the Position:

Applicant must be bondable and meet or exceed minimum qualifications for each of the following background checks: Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Driving Record, Professional and Personal Reference Checks, and give permission to submit to drug and alcohol testing if there is a reasonable suspicion. Must have reliable transportation and fulfill assignments with reliability and punctuality. Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Must satisfactorily complete Comfort Keepers training and orientation program. Must accept responsibility for learning and adhering to Comfort Keepers policies and procedures, be able to function in the home setting with minimal direct supervision and maintain satisfactory relationships with administrative staff, clients, and family members. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and document services provided.

Must be genuinely concerned about helping people and have high moral standards of honesty and integrity.
