Essential Job Duties
Provides quality customer service to residents by providing one on one attention to the detail of their meal.
Assists residents with their menu selection and have proper menu knowledge to make recommendations for special dietary requests. Will be knowledgeable regarding menu items, ingredients and preparation methods.
Follows established style and order of service while serving in the dining room, for special functions or other designated areas.
May assist residents with sitting in the proper place, or setting walkers or wheelchairs to the side so aisles remain clutter free.
Possesses the ability to follow instructions, work well with others and maintain a good rapport with residents and team members.
Responsible for following weekly and monthly activities calendar.
Will be empowered to make decisions with regards to immediate service recovery and will refer potential problems to Management or designee.
Adheres to all department and organizational policies.
Maintains sanitation standards per department policies.
Promotes clean, safe, and neat environment for residents, self and staff.
Demonstrates knowledge of fire safety procedures, and assists with evacuation of residents to a safer location in the event of fire or other emergency.
Demonstrates a high level of sensitivity and interest in people.
Maintains sanitation standards per department policies
Maintains confidentiality of residents personal and medical record information.
Cooperates with other departments in performing job duties.
Stocks and resets throughout the shift and at the end of the day.
Properly maintains required records and receipts.
Handles cash and charge receipts following established procedures.
Wipes tables, chairs and benches after they have been used and resets tables.
Vacuums carpet.
Empties all trash containers.
Resets tables with linen at the end of the shift.
Follow scheduled cleaning of table condiments, coffee machine, and refrigerator.
Other duties as assigned.
