When you work as a consultant, you choose your clients and how much time you can offer them, making it an ideal complement to a full-time job. Many consultants can work over the phone or via email, providing opinions and advice without ever leaving home.

Artists, designers, writers, and IT pros are just a few groups of talented people who can pick up extra work and extra cash. Freelancing is easy to work into any schedule because, while the work is usually completed on deadline, you’re free to work on your project whenever it’s most convenient for you.
You can always go to school for a college degree or shop around for a better job that pays more money, but if you’re interested in adding cash to your current situation, picking up extra shifts, taking on extra roles, earning certifications, teaching, freelancing and consulting are all great ways to boost your salary.
