Yes, for real. There is a lot of buzz surrounding online degree programs these days, and for good reason. Their flexibility makes them incredibly convenient and for some, going to school any other way is unthinkable. You can also save loads of time on grooming by sporting the same hairstyle you had when you woke up — now that’s convenient. Choosing an online program can be a daunting task, so we’ve outlined some of the most popular online degrees and some key points to look for when making a school selection.
Business degrees
One of the most popular online business degrees is the online master of business administration, or MBA. While some on-campus programs require two years of full-time study, online MBA programs provide a bit more flexibility. At the Keller Graduate School of Management, students can study part-time or full-time, working the program into their schedule as it’s most convenient. At Keller and the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, students can study entirely online or through a combination of online and on-campus programs. Other schools, such as Florida Tech University, offer MBA programs that are completed entirely online. Healthcare degrees
Many registered nurses (RNs) are earning their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) online through accelerated degree programs that allow them to apply the hands-on training they received for their RN licensure toward a bachelor’s degree. Because nurses sometimes work while the rest of the world has already clocked out, these programs are much more flexible than traditional schools, and help nurses receive their degree in less time. The two major national accrediting bodies for nursing programs are the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
