Napoleon's job beats out Jennifer Aniston's 'flair' as most memorable big-screen hourly job

Visitors to Snagajob vote for "Napoleon Dynamite"

RICHMOND, Va., June 23, 2007 – And the award for most memorable big-screen hourly job goes to: Jon Heder in "Napoleon Dynamite" for his character's work as a chicken farmhand.

Just as summer's big blockbusters are hitting theaters, Snagajob, the No. 1 source of hourly employment, is releasing the results of who has had the most memorable big-screen hourly job. Nearly 3,000 people cast their vote on the site.

Maybe it was the refreshing beverage made entirely of stirred egg yolks or his daily intake of hard boiled eggs? Either way, Napoleon's lunch-time perks might have clinched the No. 1 most memorable big-screen hourly job honor with 33 percent of the votes cast for Heder as Napoleon Dynamite.

Jennifer Aniston as a waitress in "Office Space" (26 percent) came in second followed by a dog-walking Jennifer Lopez in "Monster-in-Law" (23 percent) and Judge Reinhold as a cook in the teen movie classic, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (18 percent).

"In between running a campaign, drawing ligers, and hunting wolverines in Alaska, Napoleon Dynamite makes the time to be a dependable worker," said Shawn Boyer, founder and chief executive officer of Snagajob. "We list more than 100,000 hourly jobs, and employers are looking for people, like Napoleon, who are dedicated and hard working."

Hourly job seekers can go to Snagajob to search for job listings by zip code. Once they find an opportunity that interests them, job seekers can easily and immediately apply to that position by filling out a profile – the online Snagajob resume preferred by its employers. Job seekers only have to complete this profile once, and it is saved for future applications with all other employers. Coming soon, job seekers also will have the option to invite Snagajob employers to view their profile (including a skills section) at any time – whether or not a job seeker has proactively applied for a specific job – increasing the odds that a hiring match will be made.
