		<description>I think sending a Thank You card would be a great thing to do it will show this spacific employer you are very interested in working with their company and it shows commitment to what your truely focused on it will take an interest in the employer well looking over your application so yes! it will be a great idea I see no wrong outcome in doing such a fine deed.</description>

		<description>I never gotten and e-mail or reminder call about an interview. I mark it on the calander. I&#039;ve have gotten e-mails about applications I&#039;ve filed and a message saying that if I meet their standards I will be contacted. 

It is nice to get notification that my application has been filed.</description>

		<description>Hi Josh, you make a good point about people selecting emails long ago and just sticking with them, but that&#039;s part of why we recommend having a separate email address for job searches. In a competitive market, having a professional email address is just one more way you can show an employer that you&#039;re willing to go the extra mile to appear professional (and it also means that if someone Googles your email address it&#039;s not connected to any personal social media or forum accounts you may not want associated with your job search).</description>

		<description>I agree with the person that said they feel like age is a huge part of the hiring process!  I have had one employee tell me that there boss will look at the teenagers before they look at someone my age.  I also feel like it worng for them to go buy your credit because my credit does not show my personality or my work ethic.  I did not have problems with my credit till i lost my job!  Also some of my credit is not even mine I had my identitiy stolen so its just not right.
I work very hard when I am working.  I ask questions when I have too and I am even willing to stay longer if need be.</description>

Our email addresses stick with us and it is harder to create new ones as many internet features are now inextricably linked to your email account. I could MAYBE understand this sort of bias if the employer is hiring for a top-level position or are part of an organization with rigorous rules and guidelines (like a faith-based employer). However, for this to be a standard hiring practice for anyone in the public sector seems like a real lack of understanding and professionalism. If it is your job to hire the most qualified individual, then you ought to be looking at the contents of their resume to see how their skills and experience relate to the position being offered, not something as trivial as an email address.</description>
