I can describe this week in one word – busy. I learned the importance of prioritizing. Whenever things get a little crazy it's important to stay organized, remember deadlines and work efficiently. The week isn't over just yet, but I think I handled it pretty well.
At the very beginning of my internship, I mentioned that the interns were split into two teams to come up with a brand new idea for Snagajob. There weren't really any limitations, which is good for creativity but also tricky because it's so broad. I haven't really brought up the project since then (I didn't want the other team to know what we were up to). However, since we are nearing the presentation date I can give you guys the inside scoop. My team has created a workshop for people to come learn about what Snagajob does, resume tips and interview tips. At first we were just going to plan the event, but we wanted to think bigger so we actually hosted it! Let me tell ya, planning an event like this in such a short amount of time wasn't easy. We had to contact local organizations to partner with us, market our event so people would actually show up, and develop our presentation. Although it took a lot of work, I'm proud of my team and the fact that everything came together.
I worked on a really fun video script this week. It was about what to wear to an interview. While shooting the video, we got the chance to play around and be silly with showing what not to wear. Check it out! Stay tuned for the bloopers at the end.
Recently, I started working on college-related articles. They will range anywhere from how to deal with a new roommate to what to bring to college. I'm about to be a senior so it's safe to say I'm a certified expert on the college experience. Let me know what you'd like to see!
Talk to you next week.
