Dnisha’s interview advice that got her hired!

by: Kim Costa

Dnisha wasn’t having much luck findng a job, until she discovered Snagajob! Then she quickly found a job she loves at Applebee’s.

I asked Dnisha what advice she would give to other job seekers who may be a little nervous about interviewing. Check out her three steps to success below:

1. Make sure you smile!

2. Always maintain eye contact.

3. Always write a thank-you letter for the interviewer.

I did those three tips and stood out from the rest! The tips really work if your looking for a job its the way to go! THANKS SNAGAJOB!

I cannot stress enough just how important all three of these steps are. Smiling and eye contact really show the employer that you are interested in what they have to say and that you are excited for the opportunity they are discussing with you. By appearing withdrawn or awkwardly looking around, it could come off that you are bored and don’t really care about what is going on in the interview.

Interview follow-up letters really can set you apart form your competition. Not only do you come off as gracious and professional, you are showing the employer that this is very important to you and that you will work hard for them.

Congrats on the new job, Dnisha! We are very excited for you.
