How Kendra was able to find a job while in school

by: Kim Costa

Kendra was looking for a job that she could work over the summer and maintain once her college classes started up again.

“I am a college student having to pay my own way and finding/having time for a job was hard! But I came to Snagajob and had found a job within a couple weeks! They are even willing to work around my school schedule! One of the biggest things I was looking for was a job that would work with my school schedule but I could still make good money and survive.”

Congratulations on your new job with Manpower, Inc., Kendra!

Not only will working while in school help Kendra pay the bills, but it has also given her an idea of a potential career path.

“I can see myself staying with them for several years to come.”

Thinking about what you want to be when you grow up can be scary and intimidating. But, by working, you can get an idea of different career aspects you are interested in and what aspects you want to avoid. I know a lot of people (me included) who thought they wanted to go in one direction, until working while in school made them realize their passions lie elsewhere.

In addition, your job will give you extremely valuable references and connections. Never underestimate the power of a good reference!

Worried that you don’t have enough time to work and go to school? It’s a tough balancing act, but we’ve put together a few ideas on how you can make it happen.
