Snagajob thanks you, Burger King!

by: Kim Costa

Snagajob Thanks You is a program that recognizes hourly worker for top-notch service, passion and excellence in their jobs. After being selected by a Snagger (a Snagajob employee) for a great customer service experience, we stop by the hourly workers’ workplaces, tell them how much we appreciate all their hard work, and hopefully make them realize how much of a difference they can make at at work.

So, when Snagger Erica told us about what happened to her last week, we just had to recognize Burger King for helping her out!

We’re located in Virginia and had an unexpected snow storm hit last week. Erica was driving to our office when she got caught in the middle of the storm. Cars were going off the road, accidents were happening around her and people started fishtailing all over the street. Erica pulled into the closest place she could…Burger King.

She walked into the restaurant pretty visually shaken up from driving in the storm. Instead of simply waiting for her to order the staff came over to make sure Erica was okay. They then went above and beyond by sitting her down, giving her coffee and letting Erica set up her laptop and work from the restaurant until the storm died down.

She was able to hang out with some of the staff while she calmed down. What started out as a scary adventure turned into a bonding experience with the Burger King workers. Erica told us, “The roads were horrific and by the time I got to Burger King I definitely needed some calming down. I cannot say enough kind things about everyone working at Burger King that morning. I feel like I made new friends.”

When Erica felt comfortable enough to get back on the road, the staff even offered to help clean off her car!

We sent Erica back to the Burger King where she surprised one of the workers who helped her, Kyle, with a gift card and a heartfelt thank you.

So, to Kyle and everyone else working at Burger King that snowy morning, thanks for helping Erica out!

The Snagajob Thanks You program is dedicated to the memory of Aaron Collins. Collins inspired a nation-wide movement of surprising hourly workers with large tips.

It really makes me wonder why after interviewing at two different Lions Choice establishments why I cant or dont get even a 30 day trial period to prove that I am a hard worker. I went through two intetviews at the Drury in Arnold Mo for housekeeping and refused to employ me there. I have wonderful work ethic skills and have more than enough ability to learn new skills and become apart of a teamplayer yet I think because of my age 53 years young I am not being given a fair chance to prove myself. At lions choice I can and would have been great with customer service as well as employees but yet I received not even opportunity. At Drury Inns I also believed I could have been as asset. Please get back to me as to I would love to hear thoughts on this they say no age requirements have customer experience present myself as a professional and nothing. Thank you for your time and hope SNAGAJOB can lead me where perhaps someone will give me an opportunity.
