‘Tis the season for giving, and at Snagajob, we take that seriously. We want to help out some people this year, and need you to tell us what is on your holiday wish list.
Other than a job, let us know what you need this year. It could be improvements around the house, interview outfits, job search coaching, help with some bills, or even a gift for someone else that you don’t have the means of giving. The opportunities are endless! We want you to tell us how you would use some extra cash for the holiday season. We will choose two winners to each receive $500 American Express gift cards to help make their holidays a little brighter.
Submissions will be open through Nov. 30 and a winner will be notified by Dec. 4.
Simply fill out the form below and tell us what you need to make your holidays special. Either write it out, or upload a video to YouTube and send us the link.

11/25/12 I JUST LIKE TO SAY SNAGAJOB IS ONE OF THE BEST ONLINE JOB SEARCH I’VE USED IT’S EASY TO USE AND KEEP YOU UP DATED THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
As ashamed as I am to admit it, if I do not find work soon I will not be able to purchase my one and only Grandson his Christmas present this year. At eight years old he is wanting to take up the art of Fencing. He need body armor, a Fencing sword, special mask and shoes. His mom is an out of work (due to car accident) and they are financially distressed this year. So I would love to buy him some of the necessary things so that he can take up the art.
I love sangajob . I refer my friends alot
I have to say that I found both jobs I have on snagajob. They saved me when I was out of work for a short period and I am still working on the same job to this day. This is a great website to search for a job. Thanks again snagajob!
Form filled out is correct, how ever it keeps returning with problems, so now I have 2 issues that
interrupted my job search. Not to be rude or ungrateful of the possibility of helping my son, but it just goes to show that nothing will change for me in the near future, and I always thought that giving at Christmas to someone in need should NOT BE FORCED TO HAVE THEIR NAME ON ANY BLOG OR SITE. SUPPOSE YOU WERE IN MY SHOES? SO with that being said perhaps if that is the only way to accomplish my goal for him(I ALSO KNOW HE DOES NOT WANT TO BE SPECIFICALLY WITH HIS NAME SINGLED OUT ON A SITE)
However, thank you any way for the chance, I do appriciate that.
Merry Christmas TO ALL AT SNAGAJOB
Sincerely,
Jackie S.
I could really use money to buy my kids Christmas presents this year because we are hurting for money this year and every little bit would help me out and i could pay some bills too

Thank u for all the updates. No job yet but still hunting and keeping good spirits.
Just like to say for that I enjoy on how Snagajobs sends updated information daily & all day long. And they do there best to stay with`n a persons line of work. Keep up the good work.
Love snagajob helped a few of my friends and family locate a job.
thanks for the updates. My son is looking for a job and your daily feedback is helpful.
I could use a part time day job close to home, or a fulltime at night. My “take-home” pay would go into my bank account where it would earn interest and I could pay my bills with, but I now have to take care of my elderly parents. Sofar, I’ve applied for a few jobs, but haven’t got any responses back yet. Oh, well….
John,
Feel your frustration, I too have been looking for work, I graduate with my MBA in HR Management on December 16. I am starting to get nervous. I also take care of my elderly parents for now and have been for almost 3 years (my sister will take over if I have to move for work), I apply for jobs, have been told I have a strong resume, great skill sets, but yet.. Nothing. It is very frustrating. Keep our spirits up and just believe that if we continue to work at this something will come along that is meant for us!!
I hear you, buddy! I also could use a part time job close to home. My “takehome” pay would also go into my bank account where it would earn interest and I could pay my bills with, I have had only 2 personal inerviews, and I have also applied 4 jobs online, but no one has responded yet…don’t give up the fight because it it so worth it not to give up…someone is out there looking for 2 hardworking folks like you, John S., and me,Meredith B., so keep on searching and filling out those job apps.! God Bless You!
I just thought of “2″ different jobs right now…(1) Be an AVON Representative or (2) Be a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. Both jobs are not just for women anymore! I’ve met some men that work either full or part time working for AVON and also some men that do the same with Mary Kay Cosmetics and Skin Care! Both companies also have products and gifts for the men as well as for the ladies! I used to be A MK Beauty Consultant when I lived in Arlington, Texas, but it just wasn’t for me, it might be for you though!
I never respond to blogs (if that what this is) generally because it serves no function other than being read by others after which the next statement is read. This is my first. Offering a gift is an outstanding thing to do for someone that fills the requirement, and I congratulate SnagAJob for initiating the help. Many of us have our story of why we need help…all legitimate. This we can see with so many saying in this forum “I need a job.” I’ve been looking for over five years racking up over 500 rejections, but that’s just another story. Perhaps you and American Express can revisit the reward and offer ten $100.00 gift cards, with so many being in need.
I agree with Malik S. I actually just entered your contest. Im out of work and have been putting in applications like a crazed woman to no avail. My story is not one to try to tug on anyones heart strings but I will be out on the street living soon or in my car if I can keep ahold of it (either pay rent or make a car payment) I can live in my car. Well on top of that I received a call today from my bank telling me that my account was comprimised and now the money that would have been deposited in my bank on FridaY i WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS. I have to wait 10 to 14 days to get into my account as I dont live in the same state as my bank and I have no other bank for them to send my pension check to. So now not only am I almost on the street but now I have no possible way to even buy any food to eat. Im sorry I needed to vent.
I would be happy with fifty dollars
I’ve been using SnagaJob a lot lately to apply for part-time and seasonal work. I find great ideas and companies I’ve never heard of that helps broaden my search. Haven’t found anything yet, but I keep trying!
i would donate 10% the the church of god or ray city for the help they gave me last year and with me being unemployed for the last 2 yrs i would buy my kids some christmas….
I love getting job alerts through email! It’s like I have my own assistant searching for jobs suited for me!
I need a job very badly. If anyone knows of any openings please email me. I will be unable
to stay in my apartment with no funds. Please contact me immediately. Thank you.
I am very familiar with computers, closings end of day, customer service, and answering phones also experience with excel, word etc. Thank you for your help. I can not live off of unemployment it is very difficult. I enjoy working Full-time.
I absolutely love snagajob!
Have they announced who won?
Hi Antonio! We reached out to the winners last week.
I would donate some to the kids cancer hospital.I would also help other kids get gifts and for my kids which I have 5 of my own.GOD bless ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agree whole hearted-ly. There is no more rich a gift, than the thoughtfulness of a good friend.
James,
Perhaps you could partner with a local church, or school. I imagine if he is fencing he is also going to an actual fencing school. They might be able to do a payment plan?
Thanks, Donna! I would love to hear more about your job search and success story: http://www.snagajob.com/resources/share-your-story/
.
Hi Jackie! Are you still having problems with the form? It seems to be working okay. If so, you can email your information and story to Facebook@snagajob.com and I will make sure it is entered.
That’s great, Karen! Congrats on the job! Hope you’ll share your story – http://www.snagajob.com/resources/share-your-story/ We love to celebrate success
Temp jobs are the worst, and I don’t recommend them for anyone. As a temp worker for over a year, I have to say I have been walked all over like a used door mat. I have been lied to by the temp agency by them telling me it could lead to full time work, so I had hopes of it turning out to be a permanent position. The temp job I worked for placed me in a company that I was with for a little over a year, and I busted my butt the whole time trying to impress the lady I worked for and it got me no where. Later on they were hiring for a position in the department I was in. I had expressed to the Human Resource department that I was interested in any full time work when the position became available, and when the time came I was overlooked all three times…and one of the positions they were hiring for was in the same department I was in so I even had the experience!! This isn’t even half of it. I could go on to list the lady at the temp job I worked for was holding my paychecks, she obtained my bank account information in order to deposit my checks, which I found out later one she wasn’t supposed to do, and so on…
