Even though some places in the country still have snow on the ground, it is time to start thinking about where you are going to work this summer.

Don’t panic. I have some good news for you. This summer’s hiring will be the brightest it’s been in years. According to Snagajob research, the number of places hiring is up from last year. And, the number of employees those places will be hiring is also on the rise. On average, summer employers will be hiring about 30 employees.

Want even more exciting news? For the first time in two years, hourly wages are increasing as well! On average, summer employees can expect to make around $11.50 an hour.

So, how can you really stand out and get noticed?

Our research tells us that employers value a positive attitude over any other trait with their summer hires. They also told us that experience and schedule flexibility will play important roles in making hiring decisions this summer.

Some of the best advice we can give you for your summer job search is to start searching now! Almost 80 percent of employers will have their summer employees in place by May.

Don’t wait until school gets out or after your annual beach trip in June. This is something you should definitely not be putting off. Get started now before the big rush and make yourself stand out and get noticed!

Deseo trabajar en turnos completos pero mi problema es que no tengo visa, se que cualquier empleador la puede tramitar, y quiero dar la certeza que no se estan equivocando al darme el empleo, soy una persona altamente responsable en mi trabajo.
