well, it did’nt go so well for me. however, i did get a chritsmas job at kohls. which made me very happy . now i need to find a permenent full time job. its hard to live on unempolyment and its not going to last long. so, needless to say i’m on the computer everyday applying to any job i think i can do. i really like snagajob, it makes it pretty easy to make an application.

I need help finding another job so I can be able to pay bills so if you can send me some that doesn’t require previous work experience or me needing to be bilingual or need a drivers licence . Preferably a job in lodi ,ca or galt ,ca . Would be great I can’t seem to find anything else and I need another side job . Thanks :)

Well had an interview at JoAnn’s but they cancelled the interview. I have tried for about 5 months of getting a job. I believe the business bureau can step in on that to just cancel out in the hopes of a job to put a roof and food on the table, what the heck! Not professional either!

Hi Lisa – I’m sorry to hear that! Did they ask if they could reschedule, or cancel all together? What was the reason for them cancelling?

I WAS LAID OFF FOR NEARLY THE WHOLE YEAR AND I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A JOB THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO LIVE A MEANINGFUL LIFE. I AM A 50 PLUSER AND I HAVE A FEELING THAT THIS IS CONTRIBUTING TO MY DIFFICULITIES FINDING A POSITION. I HAVE STEPPED AWAY FROM MY CAREER FIELD AND LOOKED INTO RETAIL AND OTHER AVENUES WITH NO SUCESS. MANY SIGHT SUCH AS YOURS ASK FOR YOUR DATE OF BIRTH, OR GRADUATION DATE, OR ANY OTHER QUESTION THAT ALERTS THE PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEER AS TO THE AGE OF A JOBSEEKER WHICH I FIND A BIT DAUNTING.

I have been job hunting for quite a while, but I do not have any offers pending. I am confused about something I keep coming across and would love some insight.
Job hunting web sites claim wanting to help people with finding a job, and they have qualified, intelligent people working for them to help you find that job.
People not working generally have money troubles, and yet on the job sites a statement is made that the best way to find my illusive job is to pay someone to help me with my resume, etc. How exactly does this make sense? If I had money, I would not be job hunting!
    Thank you for your time.

I have a picture I want to use for my profile but have been informed it is too large to load. How do I make the picture small enough for my profile? I am pretty much computer illiterate, so please make the steps as simple as possible.
    Thanks for your help!

I put in about 30 to 40 resumes a week since July, 5 interviews and no hires.

I have been aggressively searching since Mid November. Here are the statistics
Of the resumes I sent I have heard from only 22%, of the ones that I heard from 86% held phone interviews with me, of the ones that held phone interviews 17% held a second in-person Interview and 13% of the Total Number of Resumes Sent have sent either a rejection email, or position filled email.

Also 49% of the jobs I applied, or sent resumes to, would require in-state or out of state relocation, 23% of those conducted a phone interview, 14% of those had me to their site for an in-person visit at their expense.

    Interesting I thought

What I find frustrating is every job you click onto, you have so log in with another agency, and their agency will contact another agency. I applaud Jeff W on his statistics. This is an extremely frustrating “game” just to get our emails and phone numbers out to any and every institution, etc to hound you with unendated phone calls and emails. Tonight while trying to apply for a job listing thru Snagajob, when U click apply, it sends you to a staffing agency. Another “job alert” listed a Dog Nanny, for entertainment purposes I clicked on “Apply” and the next page that came up was nothing but crap; online schools, advertisements (there’s a surprise!), absolutely nothing “applied” to the job posting. I have lost the faith!!!!

I feel for all the people that sent in comments. I am a senior but still in good health and i did not think it would be so hard to find a pt job. It is very competitive especially people losing their full time jobs. I really got a feel for what people are going through.

The interviews scare me, which I believe is my block from getting the job. There are so many experts’ advice that trying to follow them makes it worse for me.

Seeking office support position in Spring City area within 30 mile parameter.
I always, always, always end up sifting through your email alerts for a job that is even close to the parameters I entered into your system.
i.e., todays alert: 5 food service positions, 1 science, 1 retail and 1 farmer?
I honestly think your wasting too much of my time on the off chance something will come up.
I have begun researching other sites that will provide significant results..
