The best job search tips for teens

Juggling high school and a part-time job is a tough act. The parents demand good grades. Your social life demands cash. And you demand a decent night of sleep. Somewhere in the middle, there’s a sweet spot of happiness. But finding it is easier said than done.
Teen jobs can be purely that – jobs. Or, if you already know what type of career you’d like to start chasing, a job can be an experience-building stepping stone. For example, if you know you want to go into business, working as a cashier will give you practical building blocks and a beginner’s guide to business savvy. (And if you’re working in a restaurant, you may even get a funny looking hat.)
