Wilber Hardee opened the first Hardee’s restaurant in Rocky Mount, NC in 1960.  Today, Hardee’s is a favorite in the Midwest and South for its famous “Thickburgers”— hearty 1/3, 1/2 and 2/3 pound burgers made with 100% Angus beef, served with a variety of toppings, such as the “Frisco Thickburger” and the “Jalapeno Thickburger.”  Hardee’s is also famous for its made-from-scratch breakfast biscuits, introduced in the 1970s, and which are still a favorite of many today.
