Concord Hospitality owns and manages 50 locations of Applebee’s, Famous Dave’s and Village Inns in nine states spread across the country. The Lincoln, Nebraska-based company was founded in 1986 and has more than 3,200 hourly employees.
While Concord had previously worked with large job boards, the company lacked a clear hiring strategy and integrated processes. Consequently, Concord’s HR execution was wrought with misfires and inconsistency. The company needed a strategic hiring vision that aligned with its people and practices.
How we helped:
In March of 2008, Concord began working with Snagajob on the sourcing front through the purchase of job postings. Less than two years later, when Snagajob had proved its high caliber of hourly job applicants, that partnership was elevated to the next level. Concord integrated with Snagajob’s Talent Management System (TMS) to fully automate its hiring process.
After fully partnering with Snagajob, Concord experienced a 35 percent dip in turnover. This shored-up retention was due to both attracting more high-quality applicants and filtering for right- fit candidates through Snagajob’s screening and assessment tools. Concord has witnessed a dramatic reduction of cost per hire due to improved hourly retention in conjunction with the tools that Snagajob’s TMS has brought to bear.
