About this job

The Selling Event Specialist is responsible for presenting, sampling and selling particular Boar's Head Deli products in a premium brand manner, directly to consumers in a retail grocery store or food show environments. The ultimate objective is to promote the quality of the Boar's Head Brand, to educate the consumer on various Boar's Head products while attempting to meet sales goals during the event.

DUTIES

• Knowledge of Boar's Head products, including flavor, nutritional information, and complimentary products (training provided).

• Willingness to engage customers and actively promote the Boar's Head Brand.

• Must have own transportation and be willing to travel to different retail grocery locations within Bloomington area.

• Ability to transport and set-up a folding table, utensils, platters, etc.

• Willingness to operate a slicer (training provided).

• Must exhibit good food safety and sanitation practices at all times.

• Be energetic and possess a serving attitude with the customers.

Our events are typically 6 hours and conducted sometime in the following windows: Mon-Fri between Noon-8pm, Sat and Sun 10am-8pm. Slightly flexible on shift times. Must be willing to work at least one weekend shift a week. Ideal weekly schedule could be:

OFF Tues and Wed,
Work: Thurs 12-6, Fri 12-6, Sat 10-4, Sun 10-4, Mon 12-6,

Must own and be familiar with a smart phone to send and receive vital work information and monthly schedules

QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent • 3 - 12 months customer service experience helpful but not necessary • Experience with food preparation also helpful
