The Resident Services Manager and Resident Services Supervisor are responsible for setting the schedule and hours for this position.

The ESSENTIAL DUTIES will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
  • Ambulate and transfer resident utilizing assistive devised and body mechanics.
  • Make beds and change linen per policy and as needed.
  • Wash and fold laundry as needed.
  • Assist and serve meals in dining room.
  • Keep resident’s apartment clean, neat and personal belongings in orderly arrangement
  • Assist with review of the resident’s level of care needs.
  • Participate in all training and in-service programs
  • Exhibit and performs proper hand-washing techniques.
  • maintain proper infection control procedures when handling clothing, linen and when assisting with bathing
  • Detect, correct and report to the supervisor any unsafe conditions, which may result in bodily injury or fire
  • Provide maximum resident care services to assure well-being of residents to greatest degree.
  • Executive duties and responsibilities in conformance with established routine.
  • Assist with execution of resident assessment.
  • Follow established fire safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of resident care information.
  • To know and comply with employee guidelines.
  • To cooperate with all other department to endeavor to maintain that established relationship
  • To take temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure as directed by the supervisor.
  • Care for residents that have incontinent episodes
  • Ensure resident privacy, respect and dignity.
  • Transport resident’s to doctor’s appointments and remain with them if requested.
  • Inform supervisor of any changes in resident’s condition, both mentally and physically.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • To be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • To be able to reach, bend, kneel, and squat.
  • To be able to walk and stand on a repetitive and constant basis.
  • To be able to sue step stools.
  • To be able to hear call system, pager signals, walkie-talkies and spoken English language.
  • To be able to wear protective gloves supplied by the facility.
  • To be able to be in contact with domestic pets.
