We have an immediate opening for a Nurses Aide (Non-certified).

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

The Director of Nursing is responsible for setting the schedule and hours for this position.

The non-certified nursing aide will be directly responsible to the licensed practical nurse on the unit, the Director of Nursing, and the Administrator.

The Essential Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Filling water pitchers with ice and fresh drinking water.
  • Making beds.
  • Transporting patients to and from the beauty shop ant do activities.
  • Distributing food trays.
  • Feeding residents, if has been trained.
  • Picking up food trays, after meals, and transporting filled carts t kitchen.
  • Mopping spills in dining rooms and hallways.
  • Buffing floors, when instructed by Environmental Services Supervisor.
  • Sorting and distributing clean clothing from the linen room to the residents.
  • Taking trash from “ambulance entrance’ to the dumpster.
  • Other non skilled duties may be assigned.
  • Must have good attendance.
  • Must attend in-service trainings and continued education.
  • Follow correct protocol for maintaining company and resident property.  Failure to follow correct protocol will result in employee being responsible for replacement of the item(s) in question.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • To be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • To be able to reach, bend, kneel, and squat.
  • To be able to walk and stand on a repetitive and constant basis.
  • To be able to sue step stools.
  • To be able to hear call system, pager signals, walkie-talkies and spoken English language.
  • To be able to wear protective gloves supplied by the facility.
  • To be able to be in contact with domestic pets.
