Carpet Cleaning Technician (Aurora)

Spectrum Restoration is an independent company that has been serving the Chicagoland area since 1995. Spectrum offers commercial and residential clients 24-hour emergency service with a two hour or less response time, as well as restoration and carpet cleaning services. Position Description:

The responsibility of the Cleaning Technician will be to assist in servicing Spectrum’s Chicagoland suburb client-base. This involves carpet cleaning, equipment maintenance, billing documentation (work orders), and all other tasks directly related to helping grow our Aurora branch. Future growth in this position could include restoration services (water/mold/fire) and new team-member training.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with daily cleaning projects

Carpet cleaning & repairs

Upholstery cleaning

Tile & grout cleaning

Assist with daily maintenance of vehicles, facility, and equipment

Complete all work-related documentation and timesheets

Interact with Spectrum staff & clients in a professional and respectful manner

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must be knowledgeable in carpet cleaning, including utilization of truckmount and portable cleaning equipment

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be capable of critical thinking and problem solving

Must place a high value on detail and organization

Spectrum is a TEAM of people, therefore a “team” mindset is required.

The ability to move or lift objects 60-pounds or heavier.

A valid drivers license, as well as an excellent driving record.

Applicants will be required to take and pass a drug test, as well as a criminal background check.

IICRC certifications are a plus, but not required (training will be provided as needed).

Typical Schedule:

Up to 32 Hours per week

Example Availability Window Required: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, weekends/evenings as needed

During busy times & emergencies additional hours will be required (overtime & emergency pay-rates apply)

Compensation:

$12-$15 per hour normal rate (depending on experience and ability)

$20 per hour after hours (per company policy)
