About this job

Remedy is recruiting on behalf of Saft Batteries, leading designer, developer and manufacturer of advanced technology batteries for industrial and defense applications. Their Jacksonville facility is located on the Westside near the Cecil Field area.

Responsibilities Include:

-      Assembly of small components

-      Using/Interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics

-      Hand Soldering

-      Monitor multiple machines simultaneously

Requirements:

-      Minimum 3 years recent experience in electronic or mechanical assembly

-      Naval technician experience ideal

-      Will be working in a dry room: NO CONTACT LENSES, cannot be prone to claustrophobia, will be required to wear a lab coat and mask during the entire shift.

-      Required to pass a hair follicle drug test

-      Required to have a clear national criminal background

-      Familiar with use of hydraulics, cylinders, calipers

-      Must have basic mechanical aptitude

-      Ability to read charts, graphs, and schematics

-      Working knowledge of weights and measures

-      GED or High School Diploma

-      Self-directed, independent worker, team player

-      Computer skills: data entry, click, drag, drop

-      Troubleshooting ability: identify root cause of machine break down

-      Understanding and previous experience with dye coating a plus

-      Excellent communication skills: verbal & written

-      Strong attention to detail

-      Steady and consistent work pace

-      Must provide documentation proving identification and eligibility to work in the United States

Physical Requirements:

-      Grip, Grasp or twist using your hands and wrists regularly

-      Be on your feet for long periods (possibly entire shift)

-      Stand for long periods during the day

-      Lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds

-      Walk extended distances

-      Reach over your head with 10-20 pound loads during your shift

-      Be exposed to dust and chemical smells

-      Wear personal protective equipment such as goggles, safety glasses, gloves, etc.

Wages:

-      Weekday Shifts: $15.00/Hr

-      Weekend Shifts: $16.00/Hr
