About this job

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of professional cooking experience. Position Summary: Responsible for the operation of a kitchen, mentoring staff, staff schedules, hands-on involvement with inventory controls, food/labor costs, and kitchen sanitation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for the quality of food served, ensuring that all standards are met. Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff. Monitor sanitation practices to ensure employees follow standards and regulations. Order food and supplies in appropriate quantities, making sure all menu items are available. Manage inventory of all kitchen products. Ensure supplies, equipment, and work areas meet standards. Responsible for all kitchen staff schedules. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Provide guidance to staff regarding safe food handling practices, setting an example for all kitchen staff. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Excellent communication skills. Ability to multi-task. Must possess a strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a high stress, fast-paced environment. Must be comfortable interacting with patrons and accepting real-time feedback on all aspects of their dining experience.
