We have a part-time opening for a Human Resource Assistant / Recruiter / Scheduler.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

Human Resource Assistant / Recruiter / Scheduler for ComForcare Home Care (we provide non-medical in-home care primarily to seniors)

ComForcare Senior Services provides in-home assistance with activities of daily living for seniors and individuals of all ages through its franchised offices throughout the United States. These services include Alzheimer’s/dementia care, Personal Care, Surgery/Cancer Recovery, Respite Care for Families, Help with pets, light housekeeping, companionship and much more. Our services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from experienced, bonded and insured caregivers.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life and level of independence for every client and family receiving their services.

 

APPLICANT ONLY CONSIDERED IF:

At least three years experience in human resource administrative capacities, with experience relevant to scheduling, customer service, and computer operation. Extensive experience in the home care field considered in lieu of other experience.

** Highly Preferred: C.N.A. License**

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Compliance with ComForcare bonding criteria

2. Eighteen years of age or older, with U.S. citizenship and/or equivalent employment eligibility authorization

3. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, co-workers and all supervisors

4. High school diploma. Associate or Bachelor's degree strongly recommended

5. Ability to perform multiple tasks under strict deadlines

 

 

Routine Duties:

 

1. Telephone and reception duties including working as primary receptionist

2. Performing weekly inventory assessments of office supplies, including all paperwork. HR Assistant will take ownership of this responsibility to assure that all office supplies will be available when needed.

3. Organize incoming documentation

4. Caregiver Recruitment

a. Perform interviews

b. Check references

c. Set up orientations

5. Compilation of employee orientation packets, applications, client intake packets for case openings, and marketing packets for outside sales staff.

6. Maintain schedule

a. Enter notes in Health Manger regarding updates on clients and caregivers

7. Enter new caregiver and client information

8. Processing of application materials for field staff.

9. Data entry relevant to scheduling, sales and human resources databases.

10. Assist with the filing and updating of quality assurance information in the employee personnel files and within the company software package.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

 

1. Manage HealthManager

a. Maintain schedule

b. Enter notes in HealthManager regarding updates on clients and caregivers

c. Enter new caregiver and client information

2. Maintain a consistent schedule for clients:

a. Handle emergency call offs

b. Fill open shifts

c. Accommodate client/family requests

d. Accommodate caregiver schedules

e. Have all open shifts for the following day staffed by the end of each day

f. Update caregivers with new client information

3. Run Weekly Orientations

a. Make copies of all necessary documents and create employee badge

b. Show appropriate videos

c. Review employee handbook

d. Answer all questions, ensuring caregivers understand policies and procedures

e. Assist caregivers in filling out necessary paperwork

f. Run appropriate background checks

4. E-mail relevant information to on-call personnel each night, updating on-call personnel with any new information.

5. Assist with special project coordination at the discretion of the Director or AA. ComForcare encourages involvement in growth opportunities for all administrative staff in order to prepare staff for promotional opportunities.

6. Maintain and organize client files- including the thinning of client files as needed.

7. Brief caregivers on cases - use of briefing form is mandatory

8. Manage overtime-limit overtime to emergency situations, keeping caregivers to a 40-hour work week.

9. Perform QA calls to Clients, Caregivers, and Family Members as follows:

a. 1 day after new case

b. 1 week after new case

c. 3 weeks after new case

d. Monthly thereafter

10. Assist designated staff with unemployment and Workers’ Compensation claims

11. Schedule supervisory visits; utilize HealthManager to determine when visits need to occur
