Visiting Angels of Elmhurst is currently seeking a detail oriented, full or part time Case Manager/Scheduling Coordinator. This position is a key member of the field staff that assists with the implementation of services with new clients and ensures that services provided to existing clients meet Agency policy and current regulations.

Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old and a high school graduate (or equivalent).  Must demonstrate strong people skills, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to work independently.  Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience, strong computer skills, experience with staff scheduling.  Must be a good listener, have strong customer service and problem solving skills, and be able to effectively communicate with all Agency staff and members of the public. Must be capable of performing all duties in the Caregiver job description.  Must be available to provide on-call support during non-office hours and provide emergency fill to cover open shifts. Must meet all Agency requirements including, but not limited to, initial and periodic background checks drug tests.

General Responsibilities:  

  • Ensures work schedules to meet client authorizations with qualified staff are met.
  • Reports changes with caregiver work time to aid the payroll and invoicing processes.
  • Follows up on time discrepancies to problem solve.
  • Introduces service to potential new clients by telephone and in-home appointments.
  • Records new client leads.
  • Assesses caregiver performance, schedules and/or conducts remedial training and evaluates caregiver return demonstrations.
  • Provides caregiver back-up for emergency situations as required.
  • Organizes and maintains file systems in compliance with policy and regulations.
  • Prepares and distributes outgoing correspondence including newsletters, e-mail, and faxes.
  • Maintains proficiency with Microsoft office products used by the Agency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The role of a Case Manager/Scheduling Coordinator is to make a perfect match between a caregiver and the client(s) we serve.
