Accountant - Full-time / Part-time

We have an immediate opening for a Accountant.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Job Summary

General accounting functions for the restaurant industry and several small businesses.

Job Functions

• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Assign entries to proper accounts
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Some accounts payable
• Work with computerized accounting system making use of all it’s functions
• Analyze budget variances and prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses
• Organize year end information and participate in annual audit
• Provides back office support for marketing and catering programs

Accountabilities

Responsible for supervising one (1) employee in the Accounting Department; Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data; Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.

Qualification Standards

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience (3-5 years)
•  Knowledge of office systems and procedures
•  Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practice and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
