About this job
The Home Health Aide provides non-medical, in-home support and home management services to clients. He or she provides assistance with personal care, nutrition, exercises, ambulation, positioning and transfers under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse according to the established plan of care.
The ideal candidate for this position:
- High school diploma or GED at a minimum
- Certified as a Home Health Aide or Nurses Aide (or has experience working as a Home Health Aide or Nurses Aide)
- Additional training or education to achieve certification
- Current CPR certification
- Genuine desire to work with the elderly or disabled
- Reliable transportation & current automobile insurance
- Valid driver license
- Effective oral and written skills
- Empathy and the ability to listen
- Good time management skills
- Professional dress, speech and behavior
