Assistant Manager

We have an immediate opening for a Assistant Manager.

You must meet the following criteria:

Must be able to work 40 hours per week with availability of both mornings and evenings. Must have flexibility with work schedules including holidays and weekends.

• Must have minimum 2 years of retail management experience or equivalent
• Must have great customer service and communication skills
• Must have ability to handle customers with sensitivity
• Must have ability to work at a fast pace with accuracy
• Must have great work ethics
• Must have basic math skills
• Must have ability to work independently
• Must have a desire to learn about fashion
• Must have the ability to lead a staff of 20 or more associates
• Must be able to effectively communicate the Buy Policy to our customers
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be required to lift up to 50lbs.

Plato's Closet buys and sells gently used brand name clothes and accessories for teens and young adults. Plato's Closet in Dover, DE is looking for experienced assistant managers with a sense of style. The right candidate will be available to work days/nights and weekends. You will be ringing sales, processing returns, answering phones, providing excellent customer service, making sure the fitting rooms are promptly attended to, tagging, communicating the buy process to our customers and any other tasks associated with this position.  The assistant manager position in addition to the above responsibilities, will also be providing associate training and coaching, opening and closing the store,  providing bank runs, maintaining store cleanliness, responsible for visual merchandising, and maintaining proper inventory levels.

The right person will work closely with the store manager/owners.
