Maintenance Mechanic - Full-time

We have a full-time opening for a Maintenance Mechanic.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.

Wage: 15-20

Duties/Responsibilities:
o Safely maintain, troubleshoot, repair, modify and/or construct mechanical equipment
o Provide technical input to internal customers regarding the installation, repair and safe operation of equipment and systems.
o Continuously improve the quality of individual and group services in order to meet the plant's needs in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
o High school or equivalent

o Basic math knowledge
o Reading skills

Knowledge of some of the following technical skills:
o Welding
o Metal fabrication
o Equipment trouble-shooting
o Rotating/stationary equipment repair
o Rigging
o Millwrighting
o Pipefitting and layout
o Plumbing
o Insulating
o Reading prints and diagrams
o Tools of the trade

Ability to meet physical requirements including:
o Lifting up to 100 pounds
o Working on ladders, lifts, pipe racks and in confined spaces
o Wearing all required personal protective equipment
o Working around chemicals, nuisance odors and noise from operating areas
o Completing physically demanding work that requires lifting, kneeling, twisting and extremes of heat and cold.

Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends, holidays and call-ins.
