We have a full-time opening for a Maintenance Electrician.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

Responsibilities:
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install electrical equipment. This includes: Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Fire Alarm Systems (Notifier), High Voltage Equipment (4160 volts).
• Strong safety record and work habits.
• Able to maintain a physically strenuous routine (climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects).
• Will be responsible for using the required competencies and skills to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install electrical equipment.
• Will be expected to keep up to date with the latest electrical technology and trade methods while demonstrating quality workmanship.
• Will be required to work overtime and selected holidays as part of a regular PM program.
• Must have good work habits, self motivated, stays on the job, and makes efficient use of time.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
• Able to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experienced in installation, troubleshooting and repair of single and 3-phase motors
• Understanding and experience in application of the NFPA 70 code.
• Proven ability to progress and learn in the electrical trade.
• Must have a journeyperson's certification (or near completing one) coupled with experience in the industrial electrical field.

Considered a plus:
• Excellent mechanical aptitude -- efficient problem solving skills
• Solid computer skills
• Experienced with installation, troubleshooting and repair of generator systems
• Fire alarm license

Working Conditions:
• Will be required to work overtime and selected holidays, some weekends and overtime as part of a regular preventive maintenance program. Must be willing to periodically be on a rotations on-call program for emergencies outside of 1st shift hours and carry a pager. Must be able to wear a respirator.
• Able to maintain a physically strenuous routine (climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects), must be able to lift 80lbs.
