Job Summary
Responsible for prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customers.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Provides full service support for existing customer base in assigned territory including sales and delivery.
- Manages sales volume with an existing customer group and assists with prospecting to expand the customer base.
- Services, maintains and delivers orders to customers within assigned territory.
- Participates in pricing for assigned accounts.
- Works with OSR, but requires autonomous decision making for outside territory.
- Partners with customers, vendors, credit, and A/R to resolve customer service issues.
- Identifies customer products needs and consummates sales.
- Handles repairs as needed.


Nature and Scope
- Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis, techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.
- Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.
- May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel.


Work Environment
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 20% to 50% of the time.


Minimum Qualifications
- Must be twenty one years of age
- Must pass the Drug Test
- Must pass the Background Check
- Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable


Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally 0-2 years of experience in related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in related field.

Preferred Qualifications
- External sales experience.
- Familiarity with technical product lines preferred.
- Class A CDL- Operate vehicle with GVW over 26,000 pounds not in combination, or transport hazardous materials that require placarding.
