Seasonal Cash Control Teller

We have an immediate opening for a Seasonal Cash Control Teller.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

For more than 120 years, Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park has been a family destination, creating memories worth repeating. Operating on 63 acres, it is America’s only downtown area theme and water park. Elitch Gardens is open May through October and offers 53 rides, live entertainment, shopping, dining and breathtaking views of Denver from every angle.

JOB SUMMARY: Cash Control Team Members ensure accurate and efficient handling of cash deposits from park locations.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Issue, Collect, Balance, and Control all cash and non-cash items at Elitch Gardens.
• Duties include proper disbursement of tills to cashiers for daily operation of their stands, making change for stands throughout the day, replenishing and collecting vending machine/changer machine’s coins and cash while balancing to readings for each machine.
• Tellers are responsible for counting, verifying, and making cash deposits following all cash control procedures. Counting and verifying daily pick-ups, verifying and assisting in balancing of deposits, collecting, sorting and scanning all bar-coded admission tickets.
• Position also requires the ability to accurately and efficiently perform data entry while balancing to cash, coin, credit cards and all other receipts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Math skills are required.
• Need to have sufficient cash handling skill.
• Cash handling, banking or teller experiences a plus.
• Completion or current enrollment in college preferred. Business or Accounting/Finance major preferred.
• Knowledge of 10-key and typing ability is helpful.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• In this position you must possess oral and written English skills, and must be able to communicate with guests and other employees effectively.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• May be required to work in various weather conditions
• Available to work overtime. – If over 18 years of age
• Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Attention to detail.

* This is a seasonal position with a maximum period of employment being twenty six weeks. Hours will vary each week. During peak season hours will typically be 20 to 40 hours a week. The employment period is not guaranteed nor are the hours.
