About this job
Patient Population: An estimated 4% of men and 3% of women aged 70 to 75 have muscle loss. It accelerates dramatically to 16% of men and 13% of women over the age of 85.
Muscle loss can lead to weakness and fatigue, and difficulty carrying out everyday tasks. It can also contribute to poor balance, increasing the risk of fall and injuries that can lead to hospitalization, disability and even death.
Inclusion/Exclusion:
- Males or females, 70 years of age or older
- Reports symptoms such as not being able to walk as fast as they used to, difficulty keeping up with others, or difficulty getting up out of chairs
- Be otherwise healthy without serious or exclusionary concomitant disease
