General Manager

Essential Duties:

  • Effectively managing the day to day operations of the restaurant
  • Plan, organize, train and lead others
  • Meet stated objectives in sales and costs
  • Ensure employee retention
  • Provide guest service and satisfaction that exceeds expectations
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to company standards
  • Adhere to cash handling and reconciliation procedures
  • Prepare all paperwork in an organized and timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant
  • Ensure equipment is kept clean and is in excellent working condition
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operation
  • Schedule labor as required by business activity while ensuring labor costs objectives are met
  • Responsible for knowledge of company policies and ensuring they are followed at all levels
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests
  • Carry out restaurant marketing, advertising, and promotional activities and campaigns
  • Answer phone and take to go / catering orders
  • Operate cash register and credit card machine
  • Other items as instructed by Management

Additional Requirements:

  • Stand, reach, kneel, stoop and climb
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Push, pull and lift items weighing 50 lbs
  • Manual dexterity
  • Must be able to work flexible hours / days
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
  • Prior restaurant experience a plus
  • Prior Management experience preferred
