This position will sit in our Pitney Bowes Mail Services business unit. This business unit helps customers earn the best possible discounts on First-Class and Standard postage with our presort services, doing work the U.S. Post Service would otherwise have to perform. This service spans the globe with international offerings, ranging from mail preparation and fulfillment to courier and freight services..We are currently seeking a Major Account Representative. The right candidate will be an integral part of our talented team, supporting our continued growth. This position willcover the Western region of the United States.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The Major Account Representative position is a key role within Presort Services for the sales organization and for the Presort Services organization at large. The role is considered to be a high production role for the sales organization. It is expected that professionals within this role will have a minimum of 10 years of outside" sales or sales management experience and will bring the tools (characteristics and qualifications) necessary to perform this role. Key attributes for this position are high energy, exemplary communication skills, fastidious time management, outstanding people skills, ability to scope requirements and create and approve proposals , ability to develop and recommend third party partnerships that would be additive to Presort Service's value proposition, and a professional acumen for general business management.
Proven ability to sell services and manage the sales process.
Contacts prospects, interviews individuals involved in decision making processes, and prepares price proposals in conjunction with Operating Center Management. Thoroughly explains functions performed by Pitney Bowes Presort Services and the advantages of services.
Develops and maintains relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service and assistance. Schedules quarterly customer meetings to provide historical account information, discuss customer issues, and determine further business opportunities.
Investigates and resolves customer problems arising from services provided.
Provides new customer data and other pertinent customer information to CBR for entry.
Prepares sales promotional letters and presentations to be sent to prospective customers. Compiles lists and contacts prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from management, established customers, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Represents Pitney Bowes Presort Services at trade shows or other promotional opportunities.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts and sales cycle reporting via our CRM system. (Salesforce)

Qualification

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience in the marketing/sales environment.
Minimum of 10 years of "outside/commissioned" sales or sales management experience.
High level of verbal and written communication skills to respond to customer needs, prepare presentations and provide excellent customer service.
Requires strong interpersonal skills to develop rapport with customers and their representatives at various levels or positions.
Knowledge of USPS Standard Mail workshare discounts, presort, and Lettershop environment.
Dynamic, productive, customer service-oriented track record required.
Reliable transportation with a good driving record to make customer calls and to service customer accounts as needed.
Excellent computer skills with functionality of the MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working within a quota environment.
30%-40% domestic travel required.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and work effectively under the pressure of deadlines.
Regularly sit and/or stand for long periods of time with or without accommodations.
Ability to occasionally bend/stoop with or without accommodations.
Full use of hands to process paperwork with or without accommodations.
Ability to perform keyboarding for 30-50% of the work period with or without accommodations.
