Chuck Latham Associates Inc. (CLA) is building a team of energetic and outgoing part time Retail Sales Associates for our various pet product lines. You will be representing and promoting pet products from our multiple partnering vendors at local pet specialty stores near you! You’ll bring to the table the passion of knowing that pets are really part of the family, which will be reflected in your conversation and demeanor with our customers.

While working in a retail environment, you will be advocating for pets by working together with store associates and peers to bring brand awareness for some of our top selling brands. You will be engaging and educating store associates to identify ways that our brands can meet their customer’s needs, while establishing trust and credibility by using your product knowledge to ultimately convert consumers to our products.

Your role will not typically exceed more than 20 hours per week; schedules vary based on store need. We do carry the discretion to change the role and hours based on the needs of the business. Job Responsibilities

As our Retail Sales Associate, you will be promoting products that are on display to store associates and shoppers, completing store sets and resets and executing plan-o-grams. In addition, you will be conducting inventory audits and processing vendor returns.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Ensuring manufacturer’s products are presented in the best way possible to maximize visibility and increase overall sales by sorting, straightening and repositioning all products in various weights and sizes
• Ensuring timely completion of projects, and monthly store objectives such as rotating stock; reporting out-of-stock items; repairing merchandise packaging; remove merchandise from shipping containers or boxes, and training store associates on vendor products.
• Typical schedule will be weekdays, weekend work is not required

Job Requirements

In this part time role, you will be representing multiple vendors by having excellent people and communication skills. In addition, you will need the ability to work independently with little supervision, have reliable and consistent access to the internet and reliable transportation. This is a fun opportunity for the individual that has a passion for animals and their well- being.

Additional requirements include:

• Ability to use internal resources to communicate effectively with manufacturers regarding problems and concerns with products or services
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., to bend and lift products off retail shelves and be able to set shelves and displays as needed
• Previous experience with online reporting and working as a merchandiser helpful but not required
