Remedy Intelligent Staffing is seeking a full-time Relief Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator for an internship opportunity based out of Wisconsin Rapids. As a Plant Operator, you will be monitoring the operations of the wastewater treatment facility, ensuring that state and federal standards are met. This includes collecting effluent samples, conducting tests, recording results, and arranging for equipment maintenance. Essential Functions:
- On a 12 hour shift basis, monitor the operations of the wastewater treatment facility
- utilize distributed control systems (DCS) to operate equipment
- collect samples at various stages of treatment for testing, monitor automatic sampling and recording devices and conduct lab tests.
- Operate, calibrate and maintain testing equipment
Preferred Experience:
- Associate Degree in Wastewater Technology, Environmental Sciences or equivalent or; a minimum of 2 years experience operating an activated sludge wastewater treatment facility
- Certified as a wastewater treatment plant operator preferred but not required
