We are currently hiring an Associate Director of Analytics and Business Intelligence Delivery within our Community and State group.  In this role, you will be leading a team of Business Intelligence Analysts that support an Enterprise Wide Business Intelligence reporting application that is built on the Microstrategy platform. You will be responsible for managing report development projects as well as supporting reporting and dashboard solutions implemented in production. You will also work with business users on transforming business requirements into reporting/BI solutions.  This role is in a group positioned for growth within the company and the work is at the forefront of the healthcare industry.


 


Position Responsibilities:




  • Lead Business Intelligence Development and Support teams, assuming ownership and responsibility for the execution of development projects and  maintenance of existing reporting application


  • Engage  and build relationships with Business partners to identify emerging business needs, obtain  and clarify business requirements and rules


  • Provide thought leadership for implementation of innovative and business focused analytical and reporting solutions


  • Ensure compliance with reporting architecture, design guidelines, methodologies and standards 


  • Provide sizing and estimates for development and production support projects


  • Collaborate with Hardware infrastructure teams to ensure optimum  levels of performance for the online analytics application


  • Interact with  ETL and database teams to deploy data models suitable for reporting and analysis


  • Supervisory responsibilities including but not limited to the following :



    • Planning, distributing and directing work


    • Interviewing, selecting, hiring and training employees


    • Evaluating employee performance

Requirements

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of experience deploying Business Intelligence applications using OLAP tools such as Microstrategy, Cognos etc

  • 3+ years managing a team of developers

  • 7+ years of experience working in a Data Warehousing environment

  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with senior business executives

Assets: 



  • Previous experience working with Medical claims data

  • Healthcare Industry experience

  • Experience managing offshore resources

  • Oracle, DB2, SQL Server

  • Hands-on Microstrategy experience

  • Experience getting buy in for in-house products and services
