Position Applying For: Junior Ocean/ Air Import Associate
Position Location: Jamaica, NY (USA)
Job Description:
Handling Air and Ocean import shipments, imports and exports and trucking coordination from A-Z.
Capable of handling all facets of shipping documentation (AWBs, SEDs, Bills of Lading).
Dispatch work orders to LTL carriers or drayage companies.
Follow up on instruction/cargo receipt, sailing confirmation and Master bill of lading & AWB.
Job Requirements:
Enter track and trace events.
Invoice customer/Agent overseas according to incoterms.
Prepare quotes (LCL & FCL) for customers and overseas agents in the most cost & time efficient.
Answer general customer inquiries regarding services for assigned business segment.
Negotiate rates with carriers if needed.
Experience handling break-bulk shipments.
