Responsibilities

The Sales Operations position will be responsible for leading and managing Operations functions within the Verizon Enterprise Solution’s (VES) Sales region. The key strategic priorities are maximizing revenue growth for assigned segment through the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of sales, marketing and service programs and initiatives. The candidate will be instrumental in driving the Operational Readiness and Business initiatives to exceed objectives within the Sales Region. They must be able to identify, develop and create process improvements in reporting, analytics, and performance metrics. They will develop and analyze programs and retention strategies for maximum customer satisfaction and retention. A successful candidate will play a key partnership role to the field sales team as a strategic advisor, and will report to Manager of Sales Operations:

  • Drive effective analysis of sales trends and performance in an effort to identify greater efficiencies
  • Manages to adherence of set departmental budgetary parameters
  • Develop, create and manage to an environment that ensures all sales teams are aligned to Verizon’s goals, objectives, and corporate values
  • Analyze sales data and create processes to drive accurate 30-60-90 Day forecasting & funnel management
  • Develop and implement comprehensive SFDC funnel reporting tools tracking opportunities from lead generation to revenue realization, account development and retention
  • Drive efficient & effective Strategic Account Planning processes and measurements
  • Build business impacting models for the management and measurement of all Training programs, Initiatives and execution
  • Partner and advise on facets of sales planning, inclusive of regular updates to headcount, programs and strategic sales plans

Additional duties will include field integration and training, issue resolution, process improvement, project management, and operational execution.

Qualifications

Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple highly complex cross-functional projects.

Minimum of 7+ years sales experience with Enterprise, Public Sector or Mid-Tier Customers.

Strong analytical skills with successful experience in securing and analyzing large volumes to data to make recommendations to achieve specific operational goals.

Excellent project management, team leadership, interpersonal skills. Knowledge of corporate business strategy, wireline/wireless technology, market and industry trends. Previous experience working directly with senior executives. Ability to work under pressure of tight timelines. Detail oriented.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact at the most senior levels internal and external to Verizon.
  • Ability to communicate knowledge and expertise to provide insight and direction to the business.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and train others within Verizon and have the ability to educate key stakeholders on the benefits of a proposed approach.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure cohesive efforts toward a shared goal.
  • Presentation skills for executive level management, public groups, etc.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, can-do attitude to overcome obstacles and find resolution in sometimes difficult conditions.
  • Extensive, expert level computer skills including Microsoft suite and database management.
  • Required to Travel

Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA or B.S.) in Finance, Marketing, and/or Business Admin is highly desired; Masters is preferred.
