The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing maintenance duties at the hotel. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to keeping property equipment functioning, keeping guest rooms in good repair and keeping the hotel premises presentable. Assists other hotel staff members and guests in every way possible. General maintenance and repairs including painting, swimming pool/spa care, pressure washing, plumbing, floor care, grounds maintenance/landscaping, cleaning duties, PTAC/ HVAC, lighting, electrical, doors/locks and parking lot repairs. Plumbing, electrical, sheet rock repair, wall paper repair, carpentry skills, computer knowledge required. *Must have a strong work ethic and be a team player. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and to work with minimal supervision. *Must be able to troubleshoot, evaluate and make repairs. *Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and employees. * Makes rounds of the hotel property daily to ensure everything is in working order and safe condition. * Completes service requests on a daily basis. *Tracks and records repairs accurately using a computerized maintenance management system. * Makes repairs in a timely and professional manner. * Maintains all property maintenance records. * Performs preventative maintenance and other tasks as assigned. * Maintains all preventative maintenance records. * Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and repairs as directed. * Schedules and ensures proper completion of work that may need to be accomplished by outside vendors. * Maintains cleanliness of pool equipment room, storage rooms, electrical room, maintenance room, boiler room and flammable storage container. * Maintains, replaces and re-keys both manual and electronic locks as needed, maintains accurate records of locks re-keyed. * Adjusts controls on mechanical systems to meet required Company standards. * Removes, cleans, replaces and maintains unit air conditioners (PTACs), televisions, telephones and similar equipment. *Ensures fire safety equipment (fire alarm system, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc.) are operational and that inspections are current. *Maintains monthly tool inventory records. * Runs errands as needed, driving own or company vehicle, in order to drop off and pick up supplies, equipment, furnishings, etc. * Performs other tasks as needed (including lifting and storing items, cleaning units, etc.). *Adheres to company's policies and procedures. *Complies with all OSHA, ADA and other safety and security policies. *Responds to emergencies at the property if called while on or off duty. This is a full-time position. It is also an on-call position. Scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Applicant must be flexible. Weekends and holidays are a must.
