Forklift Driver (LTO

Manpower is looking for candidates for the following position: Forklift Driver (LTO) - DEPARTMENT: Production / Distribution - REPORTS TO: Department Supervisor PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, operates a forklift to unload and load drums, pallets and other materials required for the production process or finished product. Using basic skills in reading, writing, and math the forklift operator coordinates tallies and organizes production materials or finished product. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: * Provides and moves required materials for production or for distribution, including finished product, drums of concentrate, can pallets, waste containers, shrink wrap, pallets of lids, cardboard trays, chain lubrication and glue. * Receives product via several means from manufacturing and moves to designated stocking locations by forklift operation with prescribed handling methods for product type and size. * Conducts daily forklift inspection to ensure it is functioning properly and there are no safety concerns. * RF Scans product for name, size and code number for orders and inventory (if applicable). * Picks product from stocking location - handling cases as needed. * Organizes the delivery of production material daily by checking supplies of cans, shrink wrap, lids, trays, etc (if applicable). * May cut straps and remove plastic shrink-wrap on can pallets. * Removes cardboard tops, empty pallets and stacks in empty trailer. Records the number of each item on the prescribed log sheet. * Able to use the warehouse management computer program to organize loads/unloads and locations of each (if applicable). * Report immediately to your supervisor all conditions that may pose a risk to product food safety and/or quality. * Food Safety is Everyone's Responsibility. * Operates forklift safely. * Performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Forklift Operation * Bending, stooping, reaching and climbing. * Lifting up to 50 lbs. * Good eye, hand and foot coordination. * Reading basic instructions, safety requirements, and lists. * Writing/documenting to tally and organize production materials. * All employees are responsible for compliance with the accident prevention safety compliance programs. QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED *1 year experience as a Forklift Driver. *High School Diploma or GED ****First shift hours currently 6 am to 3:30; ****Second shift hours 3:15 to 12:30 am. Hourly rate: $12 Thank you
